@teat1metv

Instagram

Hey Blog! I finally created the Instagram for this project and I adjusted some of the things that I previously included on it.

Website

The first thing I made sure to fix was the website and the bio. Originally I had written www.Netflix/teatime.com
After my partner and I met up with my teacher to ask some questions about the project and what we have done overall, I asked her if we should put Netflix even if it is not a legit show. She suggested that we make it a website that sounds like Netflix but isn't Netflix. Therefore I decided to make it "www.Netklix/teatime.com"

Feed

The next thing I wanted to do since I had to create a minimum of 20 posts was make it in an organized fashion so that the feed is aesthetically pleasing and well organized. Having a well organized feed is also a marketing technique since it is visually appealing and is likely to attract our target audience.

Highlights

As shown above, I made a highlight for all the different teas that will be in each episode of our docuseries. Just to make it more simplistic and visually pleasing, I made the cover of the highlight the color of the tea.

Profile Picture

I made this the profile picture since it is nice and simple it goes with the whole purpose of the documentary. I also chose this font to go with it since it is nice and simple and easily readable since it is so bold. I had to choose a bold and readable font since profile pictures are so small and it has to be easy to read.

It Must Be Love - Official Production

It's crazy to think we're finally done. This project took many left turns I thought would turn right but at the end of the day I am very very happy with how everything came out. We were looking forward to the final piece since day one. The second we planned our storyboard and had our overall ideas together we knew we were gonna come up with something very exciting. Although we changed almost everything last minute because life got in the way of many things, I am proud to say that this is our final film opening production.

project reflection

My overall opinion on this experience:

I like to call this an experience rather than referring to it as an assignment. To be completely honest, at the start of this process I was dreading this project and I thought it was going to be very challenging and draining. As I progressed through the whole thing with my group members I came to the realization that I was really enjoying it overall. Once we had our storyboard planned out and we had the plot of the story, we all had a collection of ideas rush into our heads. When we got together to share those ideas we were able to come to an agreement on what we wanted to do for our film opening. I caught myself going on my blog after school and perfecting my blogs and adding things because I enjoyed reflecting on my progress so much. Even if I felt stressed about some things I was able to rant to my blog about it and it was a healthy and productive way of not only expressing myself, but also of improving my project. I think that the most helpful part of this process was when we got into groups of about 5 people from different groups and we were able to get feedback from other people about our project ideas before we filmed. This was very helpful and it also gave me ideas on things to research about such as the controversy on the LQBTQ community in the 70s. I found that the most stressful part of this was when all of us had to stay in our houses and we couldn't do a lot of our original plans. I am very thankful for my team members and their motivation to try to keep our ideas the same and work our way around the obstacles we were put through. I wish I was there to help film the project. Overall, I am very happy with our final piece and I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I did.

our final storyboard

Before I reveal any part of our final production I want to share with you guys our FINAL FINAL FINAL storyboard and script so you can get an idea of what it will look like at the end.

Although these two things were changed a couple thousand times, I am happy to say that this is the final one. In my opinion, storyboards and scripts are two of the most important components of making a good film opening and a good film in general. I think we did a good job at planning our film opening. The reason we had to make all of these last minute changes was due to the corona situation and not being able to meet up and film in certain locations. Although this project was not intended to be this difficult, I think that this obstacle has made me get a glimpse into what it's like to produce films in the real world. It's not everyday that something like this happens. However, I know that if I end up pursuing a career in media and I decide to produce I film I am going to experience a similar drawback and many more. This process has prepared me and has taught me how to make last minute changing. This shows that all you can do in a situation like this is be positive and make the most of it because no matter what problems we may be facing, there is almost always a way of working our way around it.

our production :)))

Throughout the process of the making this project, I went through roller coaster of emotions. At the beginning, I was very nervous but also excited of course. I always felt like we had no time to do anything even though we had plenty. Once we came up with the perfect story board, I was so so happy with it and all of our ideas were doable. Unfortunately, life got in the way of this and we had to work around it in order to be successful. While I am in quarantine, writing on this blog on a weekly basis, I got so worried because there was just so many changes to our project and I felt like we were never going to get it done. Being in quarantine made this process a lot more challenging than it should have been. Luckily, half of our film opening was already intended to be filmed in a bedroom so there was no problems with that and there was no changes that had to be made. However, the second half of our film opening was supposed to take place in the school locker room. We had to work around this because schools are closed of course and we were not sure of when they would reopen and we couldn't risk this.  Irene had already made all of the band posters we wanted to use and Sydney was able to get the teleprompter to her so she had all of the necessary props. Luckily, her sister was there to help her film since all three of our parents were not letting us step foot outside of our houses. Irene was able to create all of the clips very similar to our storyboard. She also decided that she could edit it as she made it which also helped because she multi-tasked. I am so glad we were able to get everything to her in time for her to film the video in her room. However, I wish I could've been there to help more with the making of it and help perfect it. Since it is only a total of two minutes I will reveal a small clip for you all very soon so you can get a glimpse of what we have coming. Overall, I am very proud of my team for working around this problem and being able to continue with our progress by overcoming these obstacles.

" Keep On Trunkin"

So I know earlier in the process of creating the film opening I made a blog post about what font I wanted to do. However, my team members found some really cool font ideas recently and we changed our opinion. The fonts are all very similar but they are still slightly different and we wanted to choose one that we all agreed with and one that fits well with the time period and the overall vibe we want to give off in our film opening. These are some of the fonts we were planning on using:

All of our font options are very 70's and it was very hard for us to pick one since they are all pretty much similar and are all very appealing to the audience. The name of the font we decided to use is called "Keep on Trunkin". The process of choosing this font was a lot longer than I thought. We put a lot of thought into what font we chose as we explored hundreds of different websites and finally came across our ideal font.
